Venu Flute

Vénus Lavoie flutes are made from grenadilla or sugar maple wood, both known for their exceptional sound qualities. These flutes are crafted in our machining workshop from raw materials. Each model requires 18 to 25 hours of work to complete. The hole boring is done with our 4-axis milling machine, giving each of our Vénus flutes great precision and consistency. Vénus Lavoie flutes are slightly heavier than bamboo flutes due to the density of our woods. The hole boring has also been optimized to make no compromises between accuracy and comfort. Indeed, thanks to the use of angled holes and tunnels for the pinky hole, it is possible to balance the distance between the holes to express one's musicality without causing injury.
 
The holes on our basic models are aligned, but we can, upon request, make offsets for greater comfort according to the size of your fingers, particularly for the Sa and Pinky holes. For professional concert performers, we can also provide a brass plug/crown, which will give your instrument more focus and power. We can also adjust the hole dimensions according to your needs.​
